Lucas Torreira was consistently linked with a move away in the summer, with rumours of unhappiness amidst his lack of playtime sparking a willingness to sought new pastures. The move however did not materialise and the player stayed put.

Unai Emery, who was the primary reason for Torreira's reported decision to leave, has since left the team and Torreira has been a regular under Mikel Arteta, though fitness has not helped the player in anyway. The player however is still in need of a move despite the improvement in his playing time.

According to Corriere dello Sport, Milan will once again try to sign Lucas Torreira this summer. The player has used his agent to send signals to Milan over his openness to return to Italy and join the Rossoneri, and the Italian side are ready to pay the €40m asking price.

Any move though may be dependent on Lucas Torreira's fitness, with the player currently nursing a long term injury.
